A series of short announcements regarding sensors applicable to dynamic testing of vehicles, covering steering, wheel forces, and torques
Among the sensors available from Sensor Developments are the following.
01184 steering effort sensor Measure vehicle rollover tendencies with the use of Sensor Developments's air-bag compatible steering effort sensor, model 01184.
Torque, angle and steering rate are all simultaneously measured.
Find out what efforts are required to put vehicles into dangerous predicaments before they reach the highway.
The steering effort sensor features digital FM telemetry system, with all signals ready represented as high-level analogue signals.
Various torque capacities are available.
77016 wheel force sensor.
Measure vehicle rollover tendencies with the use of Sensor Developments's multi-axis wheel force measurement sensor. All forces and moments are continuously monitored to accurately determine each vehicle's suspension and tire performance during test manoeuvers.
The multi-axis wheel force sensor system features digital signal transmission of the strain gauge bridge outputs without the use of slip rings.
All force and moment signals are represented as high-level analogue outputs.
Various capacities are available.
01279 non-contact rotating torque sensor.
Sensor Developments announces a new 1024 optical encoder for our non-contact, infrared rotary torque sensor line.
This combination of technologies will provide an accurate and cost effective means to measure torque and angle in many dynamometer applications.
The sensor features digital infrared transmission system, which provides a high immunity to noise sources such as eddy current brakes or AC motors.
The sensor also features a high level analogue output to represent the torque load, and has been designed as a drop in replacement for many existing rotary transformer torque sensors.
01286 pulley torque sensor.
Sensor Developments announces a new development in its custom sensor design offerings.
This new pulley torque sensor features a highly accurate sensing element and slip ring assembly to measure the belt drive torque, while allowing the motor to be used in normal operation (test stand and on-vehicle).
While designed uniquely for this customer, the approach will be universal in its application to other belt or chain drive systems.
90360 wheel torque sensor.
Sensor Developments announces a new feature for its line of wireless wheel torque sensors.
With the use of a custom designed wheel rim, the original tire centerline is maintained on the vehicle, allowing the operator to measure wheel torque during vehicle handling manoeuvers.
The wheel torque sensor system features wireless signal transmission of torque, speed, and temperature, thereby eliminating the need for cumbersome anti-rotation brackets.
SAE flange reaction torque sensor.
Sensor Developments announces a new development to accurately measure torque with hydraulic motor and pump load adapters.
Eliminate the guesswork of how hose pressure relates to drive torque.
The reaction torque sensor features male and female SAE type flanges for easy integration in between the motor and load adapter.
Various capacities and SAE flanges are available.
