Syngene has launched version 1.02 of GeneDirectory, its gel data storage and analysis software.
The upgrade is designed to save time by clustering different types of DNA data and allowing easy export of all relevant information.
GeneDirectory 1.02 allows molecular biologists to view data on screen as gel tracks and assess it by either cluster, VNTR, or bandmatching analysis.
The new software now permits information collected from several different experiments to be collated in the cluster analysis view to show one definitive consensus experiment.
This is particularly useful for plant or clinical geneticists who want, for example, to have different types of DNA fingerprint results from one specific species or patient in one place.
As well as exporting results to Excel spreadsheets, GeneDirectory 1.02 now allows users to transfer both relational dendrograms and gel images to Word or metafiles.
This makes producing high quality papers or reports with Word files or PowerPoint presentations using metafiles very simple, and will save molecular biologists hours of unnecessary administration.
GeneDirectory 1.02 is fully GLP compliant so the quality and integrity of data is secure.
