Ultrasonic Scientific is expanding its European operations with the announcement of a new Benelux distributor, Benelux Scientific.
Benelux Scientific, based in Gent in the North of Belgium and with two further offices in The Netherlands, has been appointed to make Ultrasonic's new HR-US instruments available to scientific and laboratory equipment purchasers in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Managing director of Ultrasonic Scientific, Breda O'Driscoll, explains "We are thrilled to announce our further expansion with a move into Benelux markets.
Benelux Scientific has a 'right fit' with Ultrasonic, both in terms of technical knowledge, target audience, on-the-ground presence, and after-sales support.
Their remit covers sales and distribution, plus customer support into pharmaceutical, R and D and academic laboratories." Benelux Scientific is a distributor which specialises in scientific instruments and laboratory equipment.
Breda O'Driscoll continues: "Ultrasonic Scientific is headquartered in Dublin, and our continued expansion is helped one step further with this foothold in mainland Europe.
Benelux Scientific is well placed to immediately open doors into laboratories across the Benelux region for us." Founded in 2001, Benelux Scientific is fronted by chemical engineers with experience in scientific instrumentation.
The distributor not only has in-depth knowledge of the local markets, but has a sound reputation with customers in the industry, which include Shell, Exxon, GE, Monsanto and Akzo Nobel.
Starting in autumn 2002, Benelux Scientific will distribute firstly the HR-US family of ultrasonic spectrometers and later, new products from Ultrasonic Scientific.
The company will represent Ultrasonic at Het Instrument, and will also host a first European roadshow about high resolution ultrasonic spectroscopy before the end of 2002.
