VWR establishes subsidiary in Mexico City, taking over the current laboratory chemical and distribution business of Merck Mexico
VWR International has established a Mexican subsidiary.
As part of this formation, the current laboratory chemical and distribution business of Merck Mexico, a subsidiary of German firm Merck, will be transferred to this new entity of VWR.
The transfer provides VWR International with immediate warehouse and distribution facilities within Mexico and a healthy business in the lab chemical market.
VWR International plans to extend its distribution position by expanding the product lines sold to its customers and will include a greater percentage of consumables and equipment.
The move provides greater flexibility in servicing VWR's International customer base in this important Latin American market and strong growth opportunities for the company and its suppliers.
A major objective for VWR International in Mexico is to provide improved service to its global customers which also have sites in Mexico.
