Heated and refrigerated laboratory circulators with upgraded electronic design allow easier, more intuitive and more user-friendly programming and control of the units
VWR International, a distributor of scientific supplies, now offers VWR and VWR Signature heated and refrigerated circulators featuring newly enhanced electronics that allow easier, more intuitive and more user-friendly programming and control of the units.
Other new design features include relocation of the redundant over-temperature and low liquid level detection safety to the front of the control panel to permit easier access.
Also, all refrigerated models now contain a purge port for bleeding inert gas, such as nitrogen, to form a blanket over the circulator's bath, greatly reducing or eliminating condensation.
The VWR heated and refrigerated circulators are available with the choice of four different upgraded controller designs.
Analogue controller - this economical unit uses a clear, skirted dial to reduce the effects of parallax and permit more accurate temperature setting.
Standard controller - features a larger, green LED readout as well as three user-defined presets to facilitate temperature set for different applications.
Digital controller - features a full, backlit, graphic, multi-language display, 0.01C stability, five-speed duplex pump and an RS232 interface.
The display features a single knob encoder that guides the user through simple-to-understand programs and control of parameters.
Programmable controller - offers all the same features of the digital controller, and adds convenient time/temperature ramping programmability and remote temperature capability.
The controller can store up to ten programs of 50 steps each.
Microsoft Excel macros, National Instruments Labview drivers and Palm OS software are included for optimum versatility.
