Program can be used to investigate problems in an existing system, help with configuring and testing a system, or simulate devices and gateways when developing a new system
Wingpath Software Development have released a major new version of Modsak.
Modsak is a versatile Modbus diagnostic program, which can be used to investigate problems in an existing system, help with configuring and testing a system, or simulate devices and gateways when developing a new system.
The program supports both serial (RTU or Ascii) and network (TCP) interfaces, and has full support for coils, discrete inputs, input registers and holding registers.
All known extensions of the Modbus protocol for transferring floating-point numbers and large (32 and 64 bit) integers are also supported.
Modsak has an easy-to-use graphical interface, and is highly configurable.
All configuration settings can be saved to and restored from disk files in XML format. Written in Java, Modsak can be used on any platform that supports Java JRE 1.4, including Microsoft Windows, Unix, and Linux.
The program can be downloaded from Wingpath's web site and the full version can be evaluated free of charge.
