Diosynth selects Waters NuGenesis Scientific data management solution for its internal E-lab notebook initiative
Diosynth, a business unit of Akzo Nobel, has chosen Waters NuGenesis scientific data management system (SDMS) as the enabling technology for its E-lab notebook initiative.
Diosynth is one of the largest manufacturers of active pharmaceutical ingredients in the world.
Waters NuGenesis SDMS accurately and automatically captures, catalogues and stores lab instrument data from business applications.
In doing so, Waters NuGenesis SDMS facilitates the seamless integration of information within the organisation.
Diosynth plans to use the Waters NuGenesis SDMS platform as the foundation for its E-lab notebook.
While taking advantage of the robust SDMS data capture as the foundation, it will then add SDK toolkit customisation to fit their organisation's specific needs.
This decision comes one year after the initial investment and successful implementation of NuGenesis File Capture.
"We were already preparing an update for our in-house designed E-lab notebook application", says Chris van Eekelen, manager research and development, Diosynth. "By using the SDK toolkit we are able to create and authorise E-lab notes in a more efficient and completely electronic way.
"We are glad to have access to such a flexible tool allowing us to upgrade our electronic lab notebook system without having to redesign it".
"We are very pleased with Diosynth's decision to expand our solutions to other areas of their business", says Robert Mayfield, managing director European sales and operations, Waters. "The selection of NuGenesis SDMS at the foundation level to support e-lab notebook initiatives whether combining with a commercial e-lab vendor or developing in-house is an area of increasing interest within our customer base".
