Transforms CDisc Lab files that have been generated in bar delimited Ascii format, into Lab files in the CDisc Lab XML format
The easiest way for central labs to generate CDisc Lab files is to generate them in bar delimited Ascii format.
This however has the disadvantage, for the receiving party, that the incoming data is difficult to validate, to incoporate in CDisc ODM files, and to store in relational or native XML databases.
XML4Pharma has recently developed a tool for transforming CDisc Lab files that have been generated in bar delimited Ascii format, into Lab files in the CDisc Lab XML format.
The tool is available as a standalone application, or as a web application (server application).
Other tools for working with the CDisc set of standards that have been made available by XML4Pharma include the CDisc ODM Checker (which checks ODM 1.1 and 1.2 files against the standard), an automated database setup engine (which generates a database from the study setup as defined in ODM files), a reporting tool generating PDF reports on the fly directly from the ODM, and a web service for exchanging CDisc files between sponsor and CRO.
XML4Pharma is a pioneer in development of tools and applications for working with the CDisc set of standards.
It also trains workers of pharma companies and CROs in the use of the standards, and provides consultancy services in CDisc implementation.
