X-Tek, a manufacturer of real-time microfocus x-ray systems and x-ray systems for NDT (non-destructive testing) applications, has announced the appointment of David Taylor to the newly-created position of commercial director with group-wide, global responsibilities.
David Taylor will play a key role in developing X-Tek's business globally with a priority being greater penetration of the key European, North American and Asia-Pacific markets.
His remit will cover both microfocus specialist X-Tek Systems, traditionally strong in the electronics inspection market and specialist NDT division X-Tek Industrial.
With over 20 years experience in hi-tech industry, David has worked in a variety of financial and commercial roles including spells with Hadland Photonics and Itek Colour Graphics, both of which won Queen's Awards for Enterprise (Innovation) during his tenure.
A chartered accountant by training, he first qualified whilst at Ernst and Young and has also worked within the Vickers Group.
Commenting on the new appointment, Roger Hadland, founder and managing director of X-Tek group said: "David's appointment is a significant step forward in our plans to ensure X-Tek hits its ambitious objectives in the highly competitive global market for quality x-ray inspection systems."
