Automated compound storage and retrieval system provides an affordable, compact approach to meeting compound stroage needs for pharmaceutical, biotech, genomic, and proteomic research laboratories
The MatriStore system, developed by MatriCal, is an automated compound storage and retrieval system.
It provides an affordable, compact approach to meeting compound stroage needs for pharmaceutical, biotech, genomic, and proteomic research laboratories.
The modular system design offers shortened installation times, reduced overall costs, and the option of growing as storage needs grow, says MatriCal.
Based on proprietary plate and tube technology, the system is designed to handle millions of compounds quickly and reliably.
The MatriStore has a capacity of storing up to 40 million samples of chemical compounds, microorganisms, DNA, RNA, and other biological materials.
Utilising advance robotics for pick and place of samples, it can store and retrieve samples at the rate of over 20,000 picks per day.
Housed in a cold room environment, the MatriStore operates from ambient ot 20C.
The system supports the large-scale storage of compounds held in varying plate and tube formats, performing automated plate and tube actions that transfer compounds from original locations to destination locations for particular screens.
