Half-day symposium on high throughput experimentation and a half-day masterclass on scale up to be held in Dusseldorf on 23 June 2005 in connection with ChemSource exhibition
During the second day of the ChemSource 2005 Exhibition (23 June 2005), which will be held alongside ChemSpec 2005 in the Messe, Dusseldorf, Germany, the Royal Society of Chemistry's speciality chemicals sector will be holding a half-day symposium on High Throughput Experimentation and a half-day masterclass on Scale Up.
The contributors to the symposium and the presenter of the masterclass are all internationally known in their fields.
The morning symposium, High Throughput Experimentation, has been designed to update chemists on technologies and techniques for improving the R and D productivity of speciality chemicals.
Speakers include Steve Fletcher, InsightFaraday Partnership, UK; Alan A Smith, Avantium Technologies, Netherlands; John Carroll, ICI Strategic Technology Group, UK; Wolfgang Strehlau, Germany; John McConville, Polymer Laboratories, USA; Nick Evens, Avecia Pharmaceuticals, UK; Robert C Glen, Unilever Centre for Molecular Sciences Informatics, Cambridge University, UK.
The afternoon masterclass, entitled Scale Up - Bench to Kilo Scale, being led by Rick Dyer of SAFC Pharma, will include an introduction, a look at the current state of the art, best practices and case studies.
The masterclass is recognised as part of continuing professional development of RSC members.
The symposium and the masterclass are stand alone and can be registered for separately.
