Lifa is an add-on module which can be used to upgrade any fluorescence microscope to a wide-field frequency-domain Flim system, says TauTec.
The module consists of a high resolution gain modulated intensified CCD camera as homodyne imaging detector, electronic control unit and a microscope lamp housing which accommodates high power intensity modulated light emitting diodes (LED) for excitation at different wavelengths.

It provides high resolution Flim images with 100ps time resolution.
Main applications are protein-protein interactions via Flim/Fret methodology.
