The Heracles Flash E-Nose brings ultra fast gas chromatography to the existing range of sensor techniques, which mimic the human olfactory mechanism using powerful multivariate statistical software to convert data into simple to understand results.
Equipped with a two column array of different polarities, and two flame ionisation detectors, Heracles provides qualitative or quantitative results of the sample being analysed.
Fast analysis times are achieved by direct heating of the dual columns at rates up to 250C/second.
These heating rates yield analysis times unmatched by conventional GC of less than 20 seconds for VOCs and less than 60 seconds for SVOCs.
In addition to being fast, Heracles is also compact, light and portable and suitable for analysing samples in laboratory or in the field.
