QC Laboratories, an analytical testing laboratory providing services to the environmental, dairy, food and pharmaceutical industries, has signed a merger agreement with US Biosystems, a provider of environmental testing and data management services to the engineering, consulting, utility, waste management, chemical and manufacturing industries.
In combining and leveraging the strength of the two companies, the merger creates a new industry leader with increased market presence and a diversified service and product line, says QC.
US Biosystems provides a range of chemical and biological analysis on wastewater, groundwater, soil, air and tissue samples.
US Biosystems maintains a central laboratory in Boca Raton, Florida, with service facilities in Tampa, Orlando, Chicago and St Louis.
It specialises in servicing the consultant and engineering market with an average turnaround time of five business days.
QC Laboratories claims over sixty years of experience as an independent testing laboratory servicing the environmental, dairy, food and pharmaceutical industries.
The company provides full service chemistry, microbiology and aquatic toxicology.
It maintains a central laboratory in Southampton, Pennsylvania, with multiple service locations throughout the northeast USA and a 50+ fleet of service vehicles and personnel offering sample pickup and courier services.
