"I would like to encourage brewers worldwide to enter these valuable awards that give public recognition for the valuable work undertaken behind the scenes"
30 June 2005 is the closing date for the 2004/2005 Oxoid Awards for beer quality and brewery hygiene, so now is the time to prepare an entry and send it to Oxoid - and you could win the £1000 first prize.
The awards, which are organised in conjunction with the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD), are open to companies of all sizes.
"Many people are involved in ensuring that high standards of beer quality and brewery hygiene are maintained and this activity is vital to underpin brands and, ultimately, company revenues" comments Brian Pegnall, chief executive of the IBD, "I would like to encourage brewers worldwide to enter these valuable awards that give public recognition for the valuable work undertaken behind the scenes".
The awards are easy to enter and entries are welcome from brewing companies throughout the world.
Entry forms, further information and details of the 2003/2004 winners (Scottish Courage, Wye Valley Brewery, HP Bulmer and the Brewing Research Institute) are available from your local Oxoid representative or the company's website.
