28-page catalogue provides GC and GC/MS users in the environmental, petrochemical, food and beverage, flavours and fragrance, and agriculture industries with a complete guide
Thermo Electron introduces its Columns and Consumables for GC and GC/MS catalogue, which has been updated to highlight the full breadth of Thermo's Trace capillary GC columns and consumables.
Leading to higher sensitivity and less need for instrument cleaning, Trace GC columns and consumables are among the most versatile, stable and long-lasting GC components on the market, says Thermo.
The new 28-page catalogue provides GC and GC/MS users in the environmental, petrochemical, food and beverage, flavours and fragrance, and agriculture industries with a complete guide on how Thermo's products assist each aspect of chromatographic analysis.
Trace GC columns feature high temperature stability and low phase bleed offering high quality and performance.
The columns cover a range of polarities from the TR-1 100% dimethyl polysiloxane phases to the TR-Fame 70% cyanopropyl polysilphenylene-siloxane, developed to offer application-focused solutions.
The catalogue highlights the range which includes columns specifically engineered for GC/MS applications including the popular TR-5MS and highly stable, polar TR-WaxMS columns.
The catalogue also includes speciality columns such as pesticide confirmation (column TR-1701), analysis of volatile substances (TR-V1), simulated distillations (TR-SimDist) and analysis of fatty acid methyl esters (TR-Fame).
The catalogue gives specifications, USP listings, ordering tables, applications and chromatograms for each column.
Thermo's expanded range of consumables, including injection port liners, ferrules, syringes, autosampler vials and septa, is designed to complement The company's Finnigan GC and GC/MS instruments as well as other manufacturers' systems.
Thermo's FocusLiner injection port liner features a quartz wool filter to improve the rate of vapourisation, thereby enhancing sensitivity and extending column lifetimes.
Ferrules are available in three different materials to match all GC applications.
In addition, septa exist in five types of material with good durability, resealability and low bleed.
A full range of manual and autosampler syringes including fixed and removable needles as well as standard and gas-tight are also available.
Autosampler syringes are designed for Thermo as well as most other GC manufacturer's instruments, and compatibility is included in ordering tables.
