Thermal IR camera systems specialist plans to develop its UK business through its new subsidiary company, based in Nottingham
Cedip Infrared Systems, a specialist in thermal IR camera systems, has opened a new subsidiary to increase support to and further develop its growing base of customers in the UK.
The new company has chosen Nottingham in the centre of the UK midlands region to locate its offices.
Cedip Infrared Systems will be responsible for promoting, marketing and supporting Cedip products throughout the UK.
Through this new investment Cedip plans to offer its complete range of products and services as well as developing a closer relationship with its UK customers.
Speaking about the new UK office, Pierre Potet (president, Cedip Infrared Systems) commented: "the recruitment of Jonathan Chicken to manage our UK operations is directly in line with our commitment to provide an unmatched level of service to customers across Europe".
He added: "Jonathan's technical and commercial experience coupled with Cedip's strong new product pipeline promises to continue the growth in sales we have had from UK customers over the last few years".
Recently Cedip Infrared Systems announced its fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth in international sales.
In 2004, Cedip achieved revenue growth of more than 12% compared to 2003 with export sales accounting for 70% of turnover.
Cedip Infrared Systems offers a range of high-performance infrared imaging cameras and systems incorporating the latest technology in optics, infrared focal plane array detectors, electronic hardware and software.
