Pioneering innovator in high-resolution ultrasonic spectroscopy for material analysis reports better than expected growth, and reveals intention to recruit new people
Ultrasonic Scientific, an innovator in high-resolution ultrasonic spectroscopy (HR-US) for material analysis, reports significant growth in its commercial applications.
The Dublin-based company's award winning HR-US products are performing ahead of sales forecasts for 2005, reports managing director Breda O'Driscoll.
Existing customers such as Unilever and Pfizer, for example, have all purchased at multiple sites.
The company also reports a steady flow of orders from existing customers for latest upgrades in the product range such as the titration accessories.
Ultrasonic Scientific's business markets are spread worldwide, with 40% of sales to US-based clients, 40% to Europe and 20% to Japan.
The sales reflect the geographical location of its business offices in New Jersey and in Europe, supplemented by its distribution network.
To cope with growing demand, Ultrasonic Scientific is looking to recruit, and in 2005 intends to fill four newly created positions.
Two positions will be based in the New Jersey office, one a high level sales and marketing manager with experience in an analytical instrumentation industry, and a sales role.
These new positions will be the first to be based permanently at the New Jersey office, supported by European product specialists.
The remaining two positions will be sales positions based in Europe.
O'Driscoll comments: "Commercial applications for our products are wider than expected which is gratifying.
