Using superfast internet connections and new communication technologies, internet training features real-time discussion, presentations, examples and demonstrations
The installation of a new chromatography software package normally offers great benefits to a laboratory.
However sometimes for the staff, the prospect of learning and using the new data system can be daunting.
Justice Laboratory Software says help is available for Chrom Perfect users with a new internet based training module titled Chromatography Software For Beginners Module 1.
For some years the company has offered internet training modules for chromatography software users.
These have mostly focused on advanced features such as system or data management, advanced reporting and chromatography applications.
The new module is available in as a one, two, or three day course and focuses on the initial areas that will be important to the first-time user.
Using superfast internet connections and new communication technologies, Chrom Perfect internet training features real-time discussion, presentations, examples and demonstrations.
Courses are offered in the USA, Europe and Asia.
The course can be delivered via a large-screen projector for many participants or a desktop monitor for an individual.
The course 'attendees' are provided with a detailed digital workbook and training guide, which they will use as a reference throughout the course and as an on-going resource in their daily lab work.
For organisations with many users at remote locations there is an option available that all sites can attend the same training session regardless of their locations, potentially saving thousands in travel costs.
"The idea of this specific course is to give our users a starting guide to the Chrom Perfect chromatography data system.
"Initially attendees are given a presentation which looks at the general functions and terminology.
"After this we hold a series of workshops where we use the customers data to address the specific requirements of that laboratory.
"I have already hosted a number of pilot sessions with users and the response has been very positive" says Connie Hellyer, senior support specialist and training consultant at Justice Laboratory Software.
"The course was very informational and I look forward to any subsequent courses that may help me to use the Chrom Perfect software.
"I can see how the course I took barely scratched the surface of what this powerful software can do.
"I am currently attempting to incorporate the software into the analytical methods we have in Niagara and I want to thank Ms Hellyer who hosted the training course and who assisted me when I run into difficulties.
"She is a very knowledgeable and professional resource" said Donald Lonczak of Olin.
