Proforma is a new sample management system for screening applications.
It has been specially designed for fast reagent addition, quick reformatting of 96 well plates and vials into the 384-well format and for cherry picking.
Compounds can be reorganised using the handler or by pipetting.
They can be sorted by user defined criteria, eg concentration, weight, etc.
A range of values can be assigned for the destination racks.
Text formats such as 'highly reactive' or 'unreactive' can be used as sorting criteria, too.
The Proforma can be equipped with two robotic arms, the left arm with eight variable spacing liquid handling probes or disposable tips for pipetting, and the right arm with a handler and a 305deg rotating gripper, for the pick up and transport of plates, vials and tubes etc.
Just place the racks on the workbench, upload the sorting file, and go.
