Thermo Electron has scheduled its annual users meeting and laboratory informatics conference, Thermo Informatics World (TIW) 2005 North America, for 19-23 September at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point resort in Bonita Springs, Florida.
The conference theme, Relieving Business Pain, focuses on Thermo's solutions to relieve customers' major business challenges.
This event, for the first time since Thermo's September 2004 acquisition of InnaPhase, brings together users of leading software solutions, including SampleManager, Watson, Galileo, Nautilus and LabManager Lims; Atlas chromatography data system; and Enterprise Pharmacology Series and Kinetica PK/PD database tools.
TIW provides conference attendees - users, senior laboratory and IT managers from all industries - the opportunity to meet and discuss issues and trends concerning laboratory informatics, evolving technologies, and changing market requirements.
The programme for 2005 includes presentations from industry leaders.
Attendees will also learn about complementary technologies and services during a Partner Exposition evening.
A new programme feature is Thermo's Tech Support Central, in which technical support engineers will be available to field specific questions users have for their Lims or CDS.
Continuing the tradition of customer involvement, TIW features product breakout sessions including interactive workshops with Thermo's software development and product management teams.
There is a conference stream focused on value-added services to discuss such issues as validation, systems migration, and services methodology.
In addition, two days of specific product training have been scheduled around the conference.
Thermo is offering an early-bird discount on conference registration received prior to 8 August 2005, in addition to offering discounts for group registrations.
