Swept wavelength tunable laser source is available in low-noise and high-power versions plus a variety of options which can turn it into a fully-controlled and characterised optical source
DBM Optics announces the release of its model 4200 tunable laser source.
The 4200 offers 2000nm/s tuning over 150nm.
A low-noise version is available for measurements requiring high dynamic range, such as the characterisation of fibre-Bragg gratings.
A high-power version, with greater than 8dBm (6mw) of output power over the entire tuning range, is also available for applications requiring more power.
A variety of options, which can be built directly into the instrument, are available to turn the 4200 into a fully-controlled and characterised optical source.
These options include wavelength reference, VOA and polarisation controller/scrambler.
The 4200 incorporates an easy-to-use colour touch screen, or all-button operation if preferred.
A computer can easily be used to set and monitor parameters through ethernet, USB and GPIB (IEEE 488).
DBM Optics provides optical test equipment for use in testing passive optical components and in optics labs worldwide.
Engineers and scientists around the world use the company's advanced instrumentation for production test, research, high-speed alignment, incoming inspection, education, and design.
The 4200 Tunable Laser Source has a delivery time of ten weeks.
