This US technology commercialisation programme is designed to assist life sciences companies in the business development and commercialisation of technologies developed under SBIR grants
For the second year in a row, Kevin Hahnen and Louis Scarmoutzos, managing partners and founders of MVS Solutions, have been selected as principal advisors in the highly acclaimed US National Institutes of Health commercialisation assistance programme (NIH-Cap).
The NIH-Cap is managed by the Larta Institute.
This US technology commercialisation programme is designed to assist life sciences companies in the business development and commercialisation of technologies developed under SBIR grants (Small Business Innovation Research) funded by the NIH.
As principal advisors in the programme, Hahnen and Scarmoutzos provide individualised mentoring and commercialisation assistance to numerous small businesses in the life sciences and related industries.
Being seasoned executives with extensive business development skills, including a solid technology background, Hahnen and Scarmoutzos help these companies develop technology commercialisation plans - from concept through execution.
The two also work with the NIH-Cap awardee companies by assisting them in developing executive management tools for their business development efforts as well as for commercialisation of the technologies funded by the NIH.
These tools include funding sources, business presentations, market analyses, partnering evaluations, competitive landscaping, licensing opportunities, regulatory overviews, building successful management teams, intellectual property and related.
MVS Solutions was selected as principal advisor in last year's highly successful and inaugural NIH-Cap program.
MVS has also provided assistance and training in the entrepreneurship training series at the Larta Institute.
Through its unique synthesis of business, entrepreneurial and technical acumen, MVS says it successfully provides technology commercialisation and new enterprise development services for business, government and nonprofits in the biotech, chemistry, healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical and related industries.
MVS Solutions is a corporate and technology development company with a focus on the commercialisation of life sciences and related technologies.
The Larta Institute is a non-profit Southern California think tank for technology-based businesses.
The NIH is a government agency of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
