Hitachi High-Technologies has announced that the H-7650 ultra-high sensitivity digital imaging TEM is available for demonstration at its Wokingham demonstration unit from the end of September 2005
The H-7650 is a conventional TEM, offering sensitivity approximately 40 times greater than can be obtained using conventional film.
The improved sensitivity is achieved using a fully integrated, high sensitivity, high resolution digital camera mounted below the film camera chamber, which will capture images at 1024x1024 pixels.
This new configuration allows direct imaging at beam dose rates that would be insufficient to excite a traditional fluorescent screen imaging system.
For ease of use, the H-7650 features single computer operation and a single display monitor for full control of all microscope, imaging and recording functions.
An extremely fast autofocus system makes imaging easy and a host of other automated functions such as auto-stigmator produce high quality images throughout the magnification range.
