Client server based relational database allows management of complex multi-vendor laboratory maintenance programmes, reducing maintenance costs and realising operational efficiencies
PerkinElmer has announced a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant version of its well established OneSource MMS asset and maintenance management system.
The OneSource MMS is a client server based relational database that allows PerkinElmer to manage complex multi-vendor laboratory maintenance programmes on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry, reducing maintenance costs and realising operational efficiencies.
The MMS records and reports on every maintenance transaction each laboratory asset undergoes over its lifetime, providing business leaders with the understanding to make better informed decisions.
"PerkinElmer OneSource consolidates all the essential maintenance and equipment management needs of laboratories into a complete solution to help them meet their business goals," said Dusty Tenney, vice president and general manager of PerkinElmer Laboratory Services.
"The addition of 21 CFR 11 compliance to our OneSource Maintenance Management System will help our customers streamline systems and processes to increase operational improvements, allowing them to focus on their core activities".
In addition to asset management services, OneSource provides dedicated on-site technical resources to improve service, quality, responsiveness and equipment uptime, by reducing costs through improved productivity.
These services include repair and preventive maintenance, design and management of custom qualification documentation, equipment moves and upgrades, all consolidated under a single maintenance contract to reduce administration expenses.
