Supplier of automation technology for life science laboratories has recently expanded its service and technical specialist teams with staff appointments in Germany, France and the UK
These new appointments have more than doubled Velocity-11's customer facing staff in Europe.
Reflecting upon the appointments, Gerry Alden European sales manager, commented: "investing in experienced and knowledgeable staff fluent in a range of European languages enables us to provide a high level of informed support and service to customers across Europe.
"The introduction of the compact BioCel 1200, the affordable Bravo liquid handling system and a range of accessories for the industry-leading BioCel family of automation platforms, has over the last 12 months enabled us to dramatically increase European sales.
"We have experienced strongest customer interest in the automation solutions we provide for screening and plate replication".
He concluded: "Driven by continuing product innovation and investment in customer facing staff European sales will represent a significant proportion of Velocity-11's global turnover by the end of 2005".
Velocity-11's customers include most of the major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as well as leading genome centres and academic institutions.
