Omec Technology of Zhuhai, China has appointed Pulver Technology of Madresfield, UK, to distribute its range of particle size analysers, counters and image analysis systems in the European market
The agreement comes into force with immediate effect with both companies attending the Powtech 2005 international trade fair in Nurnberg on 11-13 October 2005.
At the fair, Omec and Pulver Technology exhibited the LS-Pop(VI) entry level particle size analyser for the first time in Europe.
Omec is said to be the market leader in the manufacture and supply of particle sizing instrumentation to the Chinese market.
Based in Zhuhai, south of Guangdong province and located conveniently close to Hong Kong, Omec serves the rapidly expanding Chinese market for particle characterisation systems.
Pulver Technology's appointment follows a strategic decision to actively export their systems in Europe for the first time.
Li Zhao Bin, president and co-founder of Omec, commented: "We are excited by the possibility of exporting our systems to the European market.
"We believe that our investments in both quality and manufacturing systems have resulted in systems which will be very attractive, both performance and cost-wise in the European market.
"We are particularly pleased to be working with Pulver Technology which, although a new company, has a depth of experience in working with Asian companies and knowledge of the European market".
Terry Cooper, managing director of Pulver Technology, added: "This is an exciting time in the development of relations between China and Europe.
"Many European instrumentation companies are benefiting from the growth in the Chinese economy.
"However, Omec is one of the first Chinese instrumentation companies to see the opportunities represented by the European market and is well positioned to provide systems which are of high quality, good performance and excellent value.
"Pulver Technology will ensure that the products are appropriate for Europe and that customers are well supported."
