Medical Equipment Repair Associates (Mera), which describes itself as the oldest and largest alliance of independent firms providing biomedical equipment service, announced it has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification for its quality management system.
The scope of the certification covers medical and scientific equipment maintenance and repair services throughout North America.
Mera says it is the only US national independent service organisation specialising in outsourced service to medical and scientific equipment manufacturers, to have attained the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification.
"The certification of our quality management system by Global Registrars is an objective and unbiased confirmation of our unremitting dedication to match the quality standards of our outstanding clients," said Mike Brinkman, Mera's executive director.
Founded in 1973, Mera provides inspection, installation, maintenance, repair, and consulting services for over 200 categories of medical and scientific equipment, to manufacturers and their customers, from over 90 offices in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Western Europe.
