Non-isotopic assay method used for measuring activity/inhibition of site-specific histone methyltransferases
Epigentek says it has established the non-isotopic assay method for measuring activity/inhibition of histone methyltransferases (HMTs) targeting to histone 3 at lysine 4 (H3-K4) and at lysine 9 (H3-K9).
The unique kits based on this method are also released.
Unlike the conventional radioisotopic method which has low throughput and generates radioactive waste, Epigentek's kits with the microplate format would provide a non-isotopic and high throughput screening tool for discovering inhibitors of site-specific HMTs as the therapeutic agents, it says.
