Data Translation has announced two new additions to the Econseries of low-cost USB modules, the DT 9813-10V and the DT 9814-10V designed for applications requiring higher numbers of input channels.
The DT 9813-10V has 16 analogue channels and the DT 9814-10V has 24 analogue input channels.
The new modules can lower the cost of making measurements by over 50%.
Based on the popular DT 9812-10V design, the DT 9813-10V and DT 9814-10V were developed for customers seeking higher analogue input channel count modules at an extremely low cost per channel.
Taking the DT 9812-10V as the benchmark, prices and price per channel are given below.

DT 9812-10V costs £245 which equates to £30.63 per input channel.
DT 9813-10V costs £305 which is £19.06 per input channel.
DT 9814-10V costs £345 or £14.30 per input channel.

The DT 9813-10V and DT 9814-10V ship with the Go application, providing mini-instruments for the PC.
Signal connections are made directly to the modules' built-in screw terminals and plug into any PC's USB port.

For more advanced applications, the Econseries modules can be used with DT Measure Foundry, Data Translation's easy to use test and measurement application builder.
It can also be used with an extensive range of software tools available from Data Translation, these software packages can either be downloaded from the Data Translation website or are available on CD.
The DT 9813 and DT 9814 bring the total number of models in the low-cost Econseries to nine, covering a range of input voltages and available inputs and outputs.
