Kaleido Technology, a provider of ultra-precision moulded and machined optics for high-tech industrial applications, has appointed a new chief executive officer (CEO) to lead the company in its drive for further international growth.
The new appointee Jesper Wolf Bek, most recently with Intel, brings a wealth of sales, marketing and management experience from positions served in Europe and Asia.
Previous to this Jesper Bek held senior positions in sales and marketing at Giga - an innovative company that was sold to Intel for a record US$1.25bn in 2000.
Asked about his new appointment Jesper Bek commented: "I look forward to joining Kaleido Technology at this very exciting time.
"The company has tremendous potential for growth in the coming years with its unique in-house technology for moulding of precision optics.
"Kaleido already has an established market in the direct-machined optics and I am looking forward to lifting Kaleido Technology to the next platform.

In this phase of expansion of Kaleido Technology, Jesper Boie Rasmussen, previous CEO of Kaleido Technology, will remain a member of Kaleido Technology's core staff as CTO and will dedicate his efforts to developing the core competence of Kaleido Technology based on his long standing experience of the optics business.

Specifically, Kaleido Technology is a manufacturer of passive optical components and sub-modules by machining and precision glass moulding.
Kaleido Technology offers precision-moulded glass aspheres and free-form lenses in a large selection of optical glasses and even with highly complex geometries.
Thanks to proprietary ultra-precision machining capabilities, Kaleido says it is able to manufacture and deliver aspheric and free form mirrors with world-leading precision and accuracy.
