Pittcon 2006 visitors will have the chance see and discuss the state-of-the-art dynamic light scattering (DLS) instrument for biomolecular characterisation - the model 802 DLS
Viscotek, a provider of advanced detectors, software and systems for characterisation of natural and synthetic polymers, copolymers, proteins and nanoparticles will be exhibiting its latest range of instrumentation at Pittcon 2006 in Orlando, Florida.
Visitors to booth 2138 will have the chance see and discuss the state-of-the-art dynamic light scattering (DLS) instrument for biomolecular characterisation - the model 802 DLS.
Said to offer superior sensitivity, resolution and accuracy, born out 802 DLS delivers leading edge results for applications including screening protein constructs for crystallisation, characterisation of colloidal and nanoparticulate drug delivery systems, protein conformation analysis and measuring the stability and size of lipids and conjugates.
Premiering at the show will be the new model 802 DLS OmniSize 2.0 software that includes a range of new features including a unique regularisation algorithm.
Also on display will be the company's multi-detector GPC/SEC systems including the triple detector array (TDA), the GPCmax and the latest revision of Omnisec software.
The company says Viscotek triple detection systems, which employ a concentration detector, viscometer and light scattering detector operating in concert, are today the defacto standard for the characterisation of natural and synthetic polymers and proteins in the petrochemical, specialty chemical, elastomers, adhesives, coatings, food, agricultural, academic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.
For scientists looking to characterise and quantitate polymers in the production environment, Viscotek will be showing its popular Fipa system and a new version of its model 501 dilute solution viscometer (DSV).
To automate acquisition and processing of data Viscotek has consulted with industry users to produce new Automated Relative Viscometry software.
Based upon Viscotek's patented Y501 viscometer design the Y501 ARV system measures solvent and sample viscosity simultaneously, avoiding errors due to temperature fluctuations and solvent variations.
The system provides faster analysis, greater precision and less solvent exposure when compared to the traditional Ubbelohde or Cannon-Fenske glass tube viscometers that it replaces.
