YSI, a manufacturer of testing and monitoring instruments, has opened a new office near Dublin covering both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
YSI European regional manager Darren Hanson believes that this initiative is a demonstration of the company's commitment to the Irish market, adding: "We aim to develop long-term relationships with our customers so that we can fully understand their needs and thereby develop products and services to satisfy them.
"Due to EU regulations and an increasing concern for the health of water resources, the market for YSI and SonTek/YSI products has grown rapidly in Ireland over recent years; our new office will ensure that we are able to work closely with Irish customers to address these concerns".
The YSI office in Athboy is a branch office of YSI Hydrodata, a sales and service division of YSI located in the UK.
The Irish office will be managed by David O'Hagan, who has over ten years experience in the water monitoring market and an intimate knowledge of YSI's laboratory and portable instruments as well as networked data collection systems.
In addition to the sales, service and hire of water monitoring instruments, the new office will also be responsible for YSI Life Sciences products which provide measurement solutions for medical applications including clinical diagnostics, sports medicine, and biotech and pharmaceutical applications including fermentation and cell culture process development.
