The Yokogawa uR20000 is an advanced industrial recorder which combines 180mm chart width with a large display and Ethernet capability.
The recorder's large full dot-matrix (181 by 16) vacuum fluorescent display dramatically improves the display of measurement data and allows greater flexibility in how that data can be viewed.
It allows the combined display of measured numerical values and bar graphs, and also offers navigational functions which greatly simplify the initial parameter set-up procedure.
The number of components has been dramatically decreased compared with earlier models through the use of advanced moulding technology and by down-sizing and densely integrating mechanical parts such as the servomotor.
As a result, the uR20000 consumes 20% less power and weighs 10% less than earlier Yokogawa 180 mm recorders.
The extensive use of custom-designed integrated circuits also results in reduced power consumption, increased life-span of components, and the suppression of heat emissions.
The uR20000 offers a wide choice of recording and printing functions.
Traces can be compressed or expanded partially to record data according to the measurement conditions, and a separate zone can be allocated for recording each channel.
It is also possible to print measured data, points of alarm occurrence or cancellation, and messages.
Ethernet compatibility, available as an option, allows measured data to be acquired over an Ethernet network, in addition to the conventional RS422A/RS485 interfaces.
The Modbus protocol is also supported.
The uR20000 family consists of 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-pen and 6-, 12-, 18- and 24-dot models, and features a universal input which supports a wide range of input sensors.
High withstand voltage semiconductor relays are used in the scanners that switch the input signal, allowing high-speed scanning of six dots per second or 12-24 dots in 2.5 seconds while improving reliability and reducing noise.
Other features include a dust and splash-proof front door conforming to DIN 40050-IP54, a chart cassette which enables a historical trend review to be carried out during recording, and a range of mathematical functions.
The recorder can be used with Yokogawa's Daqlogger data-logging software for PC-based storage and analysis of recorded data.
Daqlogger also allows the recorder to be incorporated into a real-time data-logging environment with up to 32 recorders, data acquisition instruments and controllers.
