This year at SciPharm 2006, Asynt will be launching the DrySyn Junior, the latest addition to the firm's range of Drysyn products.
Regarded as the 'must have' tools for chemists, this modular family of products developed for small scale, single and multiple parallel reactions, will now boast this small inexpensive, single position model.
This extensive product range from Asynt will be showcased at SciPharm and includes units such as the Drysyn Classic, Maxi, Multi, Multi-M and Multi-S.
All models have been designed to provide a safer, cleaner and more efficient working environment, at an affordable price.
These easy-to-use reaction blocks have been developed as compact alternatives to 'messy' oil baths and expensive mantles.
Made from anodised aluminium, they allow highly efficient heat and magnetic transfer and are extremely competitive with oil bath technology.
Temperatures in excess of 200C are easily achieved without the safety issues commonly experienced with silicon oil baths.
The Drysyn reaction blocks can be placed on virtually any hotplate or stirrer whilst accommodating up to three 10-250ml flasks, depending on the model.
They can also carry out multiple reactions using vials or tubes, while still receiving equal stirring and heating.
The Drysyn Multi-S, launched in January 2006, boasts an increased maximum capacity over previous Drysyn Multi units and can accommodate up to three 500ml round bottomed flasks whilst still having the flexibility to work with smaller volume flasks/vials as required.
Additionally, the Drysyn Multi-3 position clamps, with sound aluminium and stainless steel construction, and unique 'speed grip' design for rapid clamping, are a welcome addition to the Drysyn product range.
Used alongside the Drysyn Multi units, they can support flasks separately from a hotplate and allow rapid removal from the heat source if required.
Compatible with existing boss heads and fitting any standard retort rod, the Drysyn Multi-3 position clamps are fully adjustable.
Their distinct versatility means they can also be used with flasks in dry ice baths, with separating funnels, flash columns, SPE cartridges - the list is endless.
Over the past few years Asynt have been dedicated to providing products to improve safety within the chemistry laboratory.
Since the initial launch of the Drysyn Classic, Asynt's product portfolio has gone from strength to strength.
The complete Drysyn range and the DrySyn Junior will be showcased at Scipharm (stand 207), International Pharmaceutical Industry Conference, Edinburgh, on 14-17 May 2006.
