Thermo Electron, an industry leading producer of analytical and process instrumentation, is hosting a two-day seminar on rheology on June 15-16 2006 at its Newington, New Hampshire facility
The purpose of this event is to provide a basic understanding of the principles of rheology.
The seminar is ideal for scientists, chemists, engineers, technicians, and students who are just learning to use a rheometer or who would like a refresher course in the basics.
Attendees will benefit from classroom training and hands-on equipment use.
Registrants may choose to attend just the first day of the event.
Day one will focus on rotation and oscillation.
Topics include flow behaviour, yield points, thixotropy, and creep and recovery.
Attendees will learn how to detect and eliminate measurement errors.
Day two will cover measurement and data evaluation using Haake Rheowin software.
