Platon glass tube flowmeters and indicators from Roxspur Measurement and Control are installed on gas analysers, mixers, welding kits, samplers and purging systems
Engineered and manufactured in the UK, the Platon variable area meters are the most cost effective method of monitoring and displaying gas flows to an operator or technician, and are used by most major gas handling equipment manufacturers.
Available in various tube lengths, these meters are supplied with a simple panel mounting frame, fitted with a built-in safety cover.
Flow ranges extend from the lowest flows, up to 150 litres/minute, with the unit providing a minimal pressure drop.
Scales can be provided to suit the application requirements, calibrated for special gases or gas mixtures, and marked to show specific operating ranges or alarm points if required.
Full calibration certification and traceability to Ukas standards is available on request.
All Platon flow measurement equipment can be supplied marked with special product or supplier brand names, or a logo, identifying the units as uniquely supplied for use by that OEM.
The gas connections are designed to suit the equipment, or can use the standard 1/4inch NPT or BSP female threads, or hose connections.
Compatible automatic flow controllers or fine needle flow control valves are available to allow adjustment of the metered gas flow.
Electronic flow alarms are available as an accessory, providing relay outputs triggered at high or low flow alarm points.
All flow tubes are customer replaceable on site, and re-rangeable on site by providing flow tubes with different flow ranges or calibration markings.
Platon flow measurement products are manufactured by Roxspur Measurement and Control in the UK, a specialist in gas flow measurement, whether the gas is air, natural gas, butane, argon, nitrogen, sampling of effluent gases, or inert gases.
The Roxspur M+C product range also includes equipment for liquid flow measurement and control, typically used for monitoring and indication of cooling, heating, lubrication or fuel flows.
