StatSoft and iAdvantage have partnered to deliver a full array of statistical and visualization capabilities within the upcoming eStudy version 5.0 release.
iAdvantage Software, a provider of software for managing development and pre-clinical life science studies, has announced that StatSoft, creators of the Statistica suite of data analysis software products, and iAdvantage have partnered to deliver a full array of statistical and visualization capabilities within the upcoming eStudy version 5.0 release.
"By integrating the Webstatistica engine into eStudy, we now are positioned to not only deliver a full palette of statistical analyses and visualizations of biological study data without leaving the security of the product, but we also have the ability to respond to the specific needs for custom analyses for individual clients," said Larry Laws, VP of sales and marketing for iAdvantage.
Statistica is a fully web-based statistical analysis and visualization engine used globally at industry-leading life science companies.
iAdvantage eStudy v5.0 integrates this engine seamlessly within the product so that the user is not only shielded from the complexities of learning a full statistical solution, but also is presented with the types of statistics and visualizations specific to their job function.
Because eStudy users are not forced to export data to third party applications for analysis, validation of the solution is a much simpler process.
"Our collaboration with iAdvantage fits StatSoft's strategy for life sciences applications of Statistica.
"It is an extension of the tremendous growth within the last few years of using Statistica for GxP applications and other uses including discovery, pre-clinical and clinical research, quality control, reporting, and process analytical technology (Pat) applications for companies in the life sciences industry," states Robert Eames, director of business development, StatSoft.
"The integration of the Statistica and eStudy platforms is a natural fit, leveraging the web-enabled client-server version of Statistica Enterprise integrated with the web-based eStudy platform."
