Andor Technology says it has led the way in developing spectroscopy over the last decade and customers can view the complete range of data collection solutions at its booth at Cleo 2006
Solutions include a pre-aligned Andor Technology Shamrock 163 imaging spectrograph with fully adjustable slit and choice of single grating as well as the Andor iDus detector and Andor's propriety Solis software.
The Shamrock 163 imaging spectrograph is the latest addition to the growing family of Andor Technology's line of spectrographs claiming a number of unparalleled customer benefits - a patented image corrected optical design providing better resolution with higher throughput, based on a Czerny-Turner optical layout featuring a 163mm focal length, entrance aperture ratio of f/3.6 and wavelength resolution of 0.17nm.
When combined with the iDus family of high-end spectroscopy CCD detectors that house a range of sensor formats both front and back illuminated, TE cooling to -90C and USB2.0 connectivity, the customer is offered an all-in-one, flexible, affordable solution for a range of spectroscopy applications including absorption/transmission, fluorescence, reflection and source characterization.
Andor Technology's marketing manager, Mark Donaghy says, "Andor's considerable experience has resulted in our range of impressive spectroscopy solutions.
"We believe that this is the best price performance solution on the market, perfect for any laboratory working within the spectroscopy field.
"We want to offer a scientific grade high performance system rather than a hand held tool with average performance.
"We think there is a big market for this enhanced performance".
Also on display will be the unique Andor catalogue that showcases the world of 'Scientific digital camera solutions'.
As well as offering an overview of digital camera technology, fundamentals and theory of light and an overview of confocal microscopy and spectrographs, there is a useful application section showing where Andor cameras and accessories are being successfully used in the field.
