Porvair Sciences has announced a new generation vacuum manifold purpose designed to allow total automation of high-throughput microplate sample preparation experiments
Precision machined from high-grade white Acetal (base unit) with a crystal clear acrylic top plate the new vacuum manifold allows the collection plate to be viewed throughout the entire elution process.
In this way scientists can easily monitor individual sample wells containing valuable analytes.
The upper plate of the vacuum manifold has been designed to fit Porvair Sciences's Microlute SPE and Protein Precipitation 96-well microplate sample preparation systems.
Ergonomically profiled, the manifold permits robotic manipulators to rapidly and simply access and lift just the upper part of the Microlute.
Multi-well collection plates can now be loaded into the base unit as required by simply lifting the top section of the manifold off.
The unit will also take a reservoir tray to collect extraneous sample and wash solution for removal and disposal before collector plates are installed.
Each unit comes fitted with a needle control valve which gives precise and complete control of vacuum pressure ensuring plates may be processed with enhanced reproducibility.
The 'competitively priced' Porvair vacuum manifold is fully compatible with all major commercial robotic control systems.
The vacuum manifold comes complete with an adapter to fit standard 350microlitre, 1ml, and 2ml well plates, a waste collection reservoir tray, a square well collection plate, and simple operating instructions.
