Formulator Software announced the new Formulator Lab-Book concept at the 2006 Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy
This new set of powerful Windows software tools for the formulation chemist and food technologist has been developed as an affordable alternative to spread sheets and home grown systems.
The dynamic Lab-Book package provides all of the latest formulation tools from the full Formulator software suite in an electronic notebook format to aid formulation chemists' and food technologists' rapid development of new formulations as well as modification and improvement of old formulations with full data logging.
Freed from the limitations of most other packages, Lab-Book allows full calculation of performance properties, materials cost calculations and variable weights and measure as the formula is created in weight and/or volume or %.
Lab-book is an outgrowth of the successful full Formulator program used and tested by thousands of experienced formulation chemists from the paint, adhesives, ink, specialty chemicals, cosmetics, food and drug industries.
Jim DeGroff, managing partner of Formulator Software, said: "There seemed a demand for a light version of Formulator for consultants, regulatory developers, and small unit formulation development labs.
"Lab-Book will become the starter set for many and working tools for others".
Formulator Lab-Book is available as a single user or network version and can be integrated with full ERP software as well as most accounting software.
The software program is available on CD or can be downloaded to be tested live at no charge by qualified formulation chemists and food technologists.
Lab-Book can be upgraded to Lab-Book Plus and all other modules of the Formulator suite.
Formulator Software develops and markets technologically advanced PC Windows software for laboratory applications in industrial, research, university and governmental formulation fields
