Totty Building Services has added a further scheme to its successful tally of education sector wins this year, with a £530k project for the University of York
Totty will carry out work to extend the University's Science Research Centre, in addition to carrying out a full refurbishment programme at the facility.
The contract will see Totty refurbish and rationalise space within existing office accommodation to create a new preparation room and a clean room with air lock.
Totty will also construct a single-storey extension at the centre, which will house one of the University's most advanced microscopes, with a further four microscopes housed in the existing building.
The fast track project is scheduled for completion at the end of September.
Philip Ryder, managing director of Totty Building Services, commented: "Capital expenditure within the education sector remains high and contractors with a strong track record of delivering high quality schemes are being rewarded with enhanced opportunities to win work".
"Our flexibility of approach, experience and sector expertise places Totty at the forefront of competitors vying for education schemes up to £2 million in value across the North of England."
