Aerotech has strengthened its European sales and marketing team with the appointment of Nigel Johnson as international sales manager
Nigel Johnson will work closely with the company's European subsidiaries and distributors on a new strategy to develop sales channels and expand market share across the broad base of industries that Aerotech serve.
Johnson comes to Aerotech after ten years with Parker Automation where he was most recently regional sales manager for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia with the company's electromechanical division.
"Nigel's engineering and marketing experience in automation and motion control will bring an immediate new focus to our European sales activities," said Cliff Jolliffe, general manager of Aerotech UK.
"Aerotech aims to provide the critical enabling performance for today's demanding applications in high throughput production and cutting-edge research, Nigel's knowledge and expertise will help provide our European customers with a better quality of service and provide Aerotech with important market feedback for future product development".
Aerotech is a designer and manufacturer of medium to very high precision, high performance motion control and positioning systems for a diverse range of applications in manufacturing and test as well as industrial and government research.
For more than 35 years, Aerotech's precision motion control products have been used to provide the critical positioning and automation technology for demanding applications in markets such as medical device and life sciences, semiconductor and flat panel, photonics, automotive, data storage, laser processing, military/aerospace, electronic manufacturing and test, assembly, research and development, and others requiring high precision, high throughput motion solutions.
