A new chiral method development laboratory wall chart has been announced by Advanced Separation Technologies (Astec)
The new Chiral Method Development Screen Wall Chart is a comprehensive outline of steps to be taken in chiral LC method development.
Sections include column installation, mobile phase choice, column choice and run table, run conditions, optimization procedures, optimization for MS detection and retesting of method development columns.
A series of notes are given to guide the chromatographer through the procedures.
The wall chart measures 16x21inches and is printed in full colour.
The wall chart incorporates four Chirobiotic and four Cyclobond LC phases using four basic mobile phase systems including the polar ionic, polar organic, reversed phase and normal phase modes.
New products have been substituted in the protocol increasing the selectivity hits and reducing method development time.
Included in the screen are Chirobiotic V2, T, R and Tag and Cyclobond I 2000 and the derivatives DNP, DMP and HP-RSP.
With the addition of the Chirobiotic V2 greater selectivity hit rates were observed in the polar ionic, polar organic and the reversed phase mode.
The Cyclobond I 2000 DNP yields separations not previously possible on cyclodextrin based chiral stationary phases and the Cyclobond I 2000 HP-RSP is a new high performance RSP phase.
