Corning has announced the second half of its 2006 scientific seminar series.
Based on the successful completion of the first half of 2006, the live, web-based presentations will continue to provide researchers with take-away tips, best practices, and proven techniques being used by leading researchers worldwide.

Corning scientists will continue to present the complimentary seminars using the latest webcast technology, enabling attendees to participate from their office or lab and engage in a QandA session at the end of each presentation.
Upcoming topics include: Cell culture contamination, every researchers nightmare (a three-part series), Day-to-day culture management for happier cells, and Drug screening using permeable supports.
Last year nearly 1000 researchers participated in the Corning-led sessions.
Due to this overwhelming turnout, as well as, the positive response from attendees, Corning decided to again host sessions in 2006.
According to a survey completed by 2005 attendees, 98% percent rated the seminar as excellent or good.
Thus far in 2006, more than 1400 researchers have attended to date and expressed similar satisfaction with the sessions.
"The turnout for our series so far this year clearly demonstrates that we were able to not only identify critical pain points for researchers but also prepare presentations that address those issues and provide take-away information that can be applied immediately in the labs for increased performance," added Niemann.
