Tinius Olsen has introduced a new, ultra-wide testing machine with 835mm (almost 33 inches)width between columns
This new machine has a maximum capacity of 50kN and can accept all the accessories that are used on its S and T series machines.
New elastic stretch test method implemented by BS EN.
Under the direction of CEN TC248 Working Group 22 a new test method for elastic fabrics has been introduced BS EN 14704-1:2005 Determination of the elasticity of fabrics.
This new method is now available from Tinius Olsen and SDL Atlas for use on Tinius Olsen and Hounsfield tension strength testing machines.
Working Group 22 are planning two further new parts for the method in 2006.
Tinius Olsen's standard software package now includes the GAP test method S1023, 'Button/small parts attachment strength' test method for determining the hold and tensile pull of strength on buttons and garment embellishments as part of the selection of over 1400 standard test methods in its data analysis software.
