Pittcon 2017 will feature a wide selection of the innovative analytical and measurement instruments from the HORIBA Group that have helped cement their reputation as world leaders.
The HORIBA Group of worldwide companies is dedicated to providing unique products, superior technologies and top-quality services, for everybody working in the analytical and measurement fields. The HORIBA Group designs and manufactures an extensive array of instruments for scientific and technological applications, ranging from in-vitro medical diagnostics to the analysis of automobile exhaust gas, providing scientific measurement solutions for both R&D and QC.
This year at Pittcon, the Pittsburgh Conference & Exposition, the world’s leading annual conference on laboratory science, the HORIBA Group will be exhibiting a wide selection of the innovative instruments whose quality and performance have helped establish worldwide confidence in the HORIBA Brand.
HORIBA’s Aqualog compact steady state spectrofluorometer is the only instrument available to simultaneously measure both absorbance spectra and fluorescence Excitation-Emission Matrices. They can be acquired up to 100 times faster than other instruments and the new Datastream Dashboard facilitates automated analysis and reporting of a wide range of key water quality parameters. The Aqualog has an HTML-based interface, simple administrator controls and push button operation for data analysis. We will also have their LAQUA/LAQUA act portable water quality analysers on display, producing stress free measurements of pH/ORP/Ion/Conductivity/Dissolved Oxygen/salt in the lab or in the field.
HORIBA’s new MacroRAM Benchtop Raman Spectrometer offers best of class in sensitivity and Class 1 laser safety at a very affordable price. It comes with a standard interlocked sample compartment, and holders for cuvette-based liquid measurements, along with a solid sample holder. Their compact MESA-50 EDXRF analyser is designed for organisations and businesses that need to screen samples containing hazardous elements. This includes cadmium, lead, chromium, mercury, bromine for RoHS, End of Life compliance, and chlorine for halogen-free applications.
HORIBA will also be featuring the MANTA ViewSizer™ 3000 Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis System with proprietary particle tracking technology that include illumination and detection methods for cutting-edge visualisation, measurement and counting of nanoparticles over a extensive range of sizes. While the compact Partica Mini LA-350 Laser Diffraction Analyser, which employs Mie Scattering Theory (laser diffraction) to measure particle size over the range of 0.1-1,000 µm. is perfect for a wider range of applications such as slurries, minerals, and paper chemistry.
For the petroleum-based industries, HORIBA will be exhibiting the MESA-7220, which measures sulphur and chlorine in petroleum products using monochromatic, polarised EDXRF analysis. It features a unique, patented design with a close-coupled, doubly curved HOPG X-ray optic, and simultaneously polarises, focuses, and mono-chromates the X-ray beam. Also, the TE Explorer combustion analyser provides trace elemental analysis of petroleum products by Combustion Analysis.
Pittcon will be held this year in Chicago between March 5th and 9th 2017, attracting industrial, academic and governmental attendees from over 90 different countries. Inspired by their unique motto, ‘JOY and FUN’, HORIBA staff will be delighted to welcome you at booth 1812. So do stop by to chat with their application scientists and also watch presentations including techniques like Raman, ICP-OES, Glow Discharge and particle analysis.
