Astell Scientific has launched a remote maintenance/diagnosis product option, enabling secure network connectivity, remote access and diagnostics on any of its compatible circular or square section autoclaves.
Codenamed ‘RDM101’, the option is available on all new-build autoclaves featuring the latest version Astell colour touchscreen controller. It permits the customer to directly connect the machine to their own network and provides a fully secure connection between machine and Astell Scientific for the benefit of software updates, data interrogation and end-user troubleshooting.
Configuration is completed at point of order, with simple additional setup completed by the user on delivery. Secure connection to the network can be achieved via Wi-Fi, 3G/4G (mobile network requires a SIM card) or ethernet cable (direct connection to network).
Astell spokesperson Dave Thomas said: “The benefits of a ‘connected’ autoclave controller can both simplify workflow and process for the laboratory facility, and enable faster support to minimise down time should a question or issue arise.
These benefits become even more valuable when considering our growing international customer base.”
