In the OMNIS, Metrohm have provided a faster, safer, easier, smarter titration system that ideally matches the needs of the modern laboratory.
Metrohm, with over 75 years of experience in the manufacture of high-precision instruments, are one of the world’s most respected and trusted manufacturers in the field of chemical analysis. All this expertise has been applied in the creation of OMNIS, a new, fully integrated titration system, designed to meet the needs of modern laboratories. With OMNIS, performance and functionality have been taken to a new level to provide titration that is faster, safer, easier, smarter and more cost effective.
OMNIS means safer and easier chemical handling, thanks to Metrohm’s patented Liquid Adapter with 3S Technology. The adapter is simply snapped onto the bottle cap, avoiding contact with bottle contents, and a RFID chip in the bottle cap provides all relevant information on the contents of the bottle, with reagent data automatically transmitted to the titration system via a smart connection.
OMNIS software is inspired by the concepts, processes, and requirements of chemical laboratories and therefore provides an unparalleled user experience that is truly intuitive, easy-to-use, and intelligent, with graphical representations of hardware components, drag and drop functionality, and context-sensitive operation.
The modular design of the OMNIS means that it is possible to expand the system in line with a laboratory’s needs. Simply start with a single titrator and add further titration and dosing modules as required. Then, by including additional measuring interfaces and burettes, you potentially have up to five different applications ready for use. And you can include the OMNIS Sample Robot, which enables full automation.
In this way the design of OMNIS allows for up to four analyses to be carried out simultaneously, a time saving of 60% in comparison to the sequential measurement of the same samples at 1 workstation. Plus, once samples have been processed on the OMNIS Sample Robot, new samples can be substituted – even during operation – truly faster, safer, easier, smarter and more cost effective.
