Realworld one will premier its virtual reality platform especially for scientific and industrial applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industry, as well as in mechanical engineering at ACHEMA in Frankfurt from June 11 to 15, 2018.
Increasingly becoming part of daily life, Virtual Reality is the most vivid type of reality technology, characterised by an extremely high level of immersion, making artificially created worlds appear real. In contrast, Augmented Reality uses a special technique to project virtual information into the real world. This information can then be positioned and adapted according to the individual field of vision.
While previous collaboration applications brought users together, realworld one aims to take things one step further. On the one hand, users can integrate their virtually created content (e.g. devices, machines or production facilities) into the platform and interact with other users. This makes spatially-independent product training on virtual devices, security training or conferences possible.
Augmented reality, on the other hand, allows the user to work on the real device with the help of additional information: Work instructions, technical assistance or the parameters of the running devices are simply superimposed onto the data glasses and, at the same time, the user has his or her hands free to operate the devices on site.
Both applications enable tremendous efficiency and productivity gains, eliminating the need for expensive trips to attend training courses.
The platform will be showcased at ACHEMA, where Pascal Stiegelmann, CEO and founder of realworld one, will present the benefits of Augmented and Virtual Reality in a keynote address on June 12, 2018 at 10:30 am, Hall 4.2, room DIMENSION.
